I went to see Lords of Dogtown last night. It definately not a movie for everyone. I guess since I was involved with skateboarding in the 70s and 80s that I enjoyed seeing another side of the people that I came in contact with during that time. However, it was one of those movies that didn't need to be seen in a theater...DVD would be fine. I wished I was doing something else for the 107 minutes.
When I got home, in the mail was an envelope from Mikuni.
Since I recently moved, I thought it was something to do with my address change request or maybe a newsletter.
I had written via email a few weeks ago asking how to change my address for my Koki Club card. (Koki Club is Mikuni's frequent diner program.) During the back and forth of email, I mentioned that I went to Mikuni for my birthday and my friend paid for dinner so I didn't get to use my Koki Club card. Jeanne said "What kind of friends wouldn't let you slip the card onto the tray?" :) As I mentioned to her, they also had a Koki Club card so I didn't think I would get away with it.
As I opened the envelope I felt another card inside, so I thought it was an new Koki Club card, however, it was not... It was a $100 Mikuni Gift Card!!!! with a belated happy birthday greeting... so kewl!
I wish I had time to go there for lunch today!
You cannot believe how frustrating it is to this moger having the GC in my wallet... I want sushi!
